Dealing with Loss for those left behind

What do those left behind need? What are the feelings, stages, and expectations of grief? How do we grieve and why? What do we tell children about death, and how do they react? How long does grief last? How can we best support someone who is grieving?

These are just a few of the many questions that arise when confronted with loss.

Alhamdulillah, both sessions of “Death Cafe at MIA” were completely booked, and there is still high demand for more. It was clear from the overwhelming interest that this is a topic that deeply resonates with people.

Sister Mariam provided valuable insights into the Islamic perspective on death, including the soul’s journey and the afterlife for righteous Muslims. Sister Marita offered compassionate guidance on the grieving process, its stages, and associated emotions. May Allah SWT reward them both abundantly. Ameen.
